The goal of this project was to create a fictional movie and a poster to go along with it. I wanted to do something fun but with an action-packed cover. I had been watching a lot of media that was 70’s themed or had that sort of aesthetic so it was fresh on my mind. I drew inspiration from movie posters like Saturday Night Fever, Super Fly, and others with a similar aesthetic. I incorporated a lot of classic patterns and color combinations, as well as researched the style of the time to see how people would style their clothes and wear their hair. I ultimately came up with a premise where a group of regulars attending Studio 54 are present when an attack is struck at the night club. It ends up falling into the hands of a couple discoing rookies to save the lives of the community, with the tagline "Can you dig it?"
